Scouting March Madness

The conference tournaments are now history and the field for the 2009 Men’s Basketball Championship has been set.  The NCAA tournament gives scouts and front office personnel one last chance to evaluate draft prospects in an NCAA game environment.  Potential prospects won’t have another opportunity to wow their potential employers until the post-season Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, NBA Pre-Draft Camp, and individual workouts.  The change in this year’s Pre-Draft Camp gives these final games that much more importance.  Seniors will still be able to play in game action at Portsmouth, but for the underclassmen thinking of declaring for the draft, the NCAA Tournament is their last game action.

Bust The Clock plans to keep a close eye on these games and the potential draft prospects playing in them.  In the next few days, Bust The Clock will take a look at the players from each region that scouts and front office personnel will surely be watching.
