Another Successful PIT Comes to an End

I got back from Portsmouth, VA Sunday morning after spending 4 days and 4 nights taking in the 57th Annual Portsmouth Invitational Tournament.  The 2009 PIT was a tremendous experience for me and a trip I plan on doing each year from this point forward.  The opportunity to network with all kinds of basketball people was worth the trip alone, not to mention watching 64 of the best college seniors play.   If you ever have the opportunity to attend this event, take advantage.  The quaint setting and uninhibited access is a rare combination that doesn’t exist in many events.

Portsmouth is a small and history rich city on the Elizabeth River.  Centrally located, it is a ferry ride away from downtown Norfolk, a 20-minute drive from Virginia Beach, and less than an hour from Colonial Williamsburg.  The Hampton Roads area has a lot to offer with the convenience of so many places.  Over the next few days, I hope to give a recap of the tournament as well as some of my experiences.
